The service which we have on a Sunday morning called 'Breaking of Bread' is at the very core of our beliefs. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and that he will soon return to take all true believers to heaven.
We also believe that He wants us to remember his death and anticipate his return by this method. The Bible teaches:
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 1st Corinthians 11:23-26 |

Sunday evenings at 6:30 is the time when we hold the Family Service. At this meeting it is our tradition to have a good amount of singing, accompanied by the piano and organ. The rest of the meeting is occupied by the gospel message. The gospel message is Bible based, and reflects the teaching of 'repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:21) This message is preached by those who know firsthand the message they are preaching, and have experienced the power of God in their lives. For more information on The Gospel see the section dedicated to that subject. |

Whilst The Lord Jesus was on earth, one of the things which he often did was to spend time praying.
- He taught his disciples to pray.
- The practice of the early church (found in the book 'The Acts of the Apostles') was to pray together.
- The teaching from the letters in the New testament is that prayer is a vital part of personal and assembly life.
- We believe that we should practice what is taught!
What we call 'Ministry' is Bible teaching. The Bible teaches:
'All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16 NKJV.
The study of The Bible is profitable, enjoyable, and neccessary for christian life.
We like to practice that too! |
